Privacy policy
What this notice covers
Last updated: June 29, 2026. Universal Yums operates this online store, its website, and the related information, content, functions, tools, goods, and services that together form the “Services.” Universal Yums relies on Shopify's commerce platform to make those Services available. This notice explains the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when someone browses, uses, buys through, otherwise transacts with, or communicates about the Services. If the Terms of Service and this notice conflict on the collection, processing, or disclosure of personal information, this Privacy Policy controls. By accessing a Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these practices.
Personal information involved
“Personal information” means information that identifies a person or can reasonably be connected with one. It excludes data that is anonymous or has been de-identified so it no longer identifies or reasonably links to an individual. Depending on your location, your dealings with the Services, and applicable law, we may collect or process contact details such as name, phone, email, billing address, and shipping address; payment-card, financial-account, payment-confirmation, transaction, and payment-method data; usernames, passwords, security questions, preferences, and account settings; items viewed, wishlisted, placed in a cart, purchased, returned, exchanged, or cancelled and prior transactions; the content of support or other communications; device, browser, network, IP-address, and other unique-identifier data; usage and navigation activity; and inferences drawn from those categories.
Sources of information
Information may come directly from you when you create an account, use the Services, contact us, or otherwise provide it. It may be gathered automatically from a device or website interaction, including by cookies and comparable technology. We may also receive it from service providers that operate technology or process information for us, and from partners or other third parties.
Why information is used
We process information to provide, adapt, and improve the Services and perform our contract with you. That includes accepting payment, fulfilling and shipping orders, administering accounts, remembering interests and preferences, sending account or order notices, handling purchases, cancellations, returns, exchanges, and other transactions, enabling reviews, and offering relevant recommendations. We may use information for promotional messages by email, text message, or postal mail and to display advertising, including advertising informed by prior purchases, cart activity, or other use of the Services. It also supports authentication, secure shopping and payment, fraud and unlawful-activity detection or response, public safety, system protection, customer support, and maintenance of our relationship with you. Finally, it may be used to comply with law or valid legal process, respond to authorities, participate in discovery or litigation, and investigate or enforce our policies. Account credentials should not be shared with anyone else.
When information is disclosed
For legitimate purposes described here, relevant information may be provided to Shopify and vendors performing functions for us, including technology administration, payment processing, analytics, support, cloud storage, fulfillment, and shipping. Business and marketing partners may use information to provide advertising or marketing under their own notices; where local law grants an opt-out from sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, that choice remains available. Disclosure may also occur when you direct or consent to it, including for shipment or a social-media or login integration; among affiliates or members of our corporate group; during a merger, bankruptcy, or other business transaction; to satisfy a subpoena, warrant, or other legal duty; to enforce terms or policies; or to protect the Services, our rights, users, or other people.
Shopify's role
Shopify hosts the Services and processes information about access and use so it can provide and improve the platform. Information submitted through the Services is transmitted to Shopify and may also reach service participants in countries other than your own. Enhanced Shopify features can combine interactions involving this store with interactions involving Shopify or other merchants. For that enhanced-feature processing, Shopify is responsible for answering applicable rights requests. Details appear in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and the Shopify Privacy Portal.
Third-party sites and public spaces
A link from the Services may lead to a platform we neither own nor control. Review that operator's privacy, security, and contractual terms before providing information. We do not promise the security, privacy, accuracy, completeness, or reliability of an unaffiliated site. Material posted in public or partly public areas, including third-party social networks, may be visible and used by other users or third parties. Merely including a link does not endorse the content, owner, or operator.
Children's data
The Services are not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child below the age of majority where the child lives. A parent or guardian who believes a child supplied information may contact us and request deletion. As of this policy's effective date, we do not actually know that we “sell” or “share,” as those terms are defined by applicable law, personal information of anyone under 16.
Security and retention
No safeguard is flawless or impenetrable, and information in transit may not be secure. Do not send sensitive or confidential material through an unsecured channel. Retention depends on such considerations as maintaining an account, furnishing the Services, meeting legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements and policies.
Rights and choices
Depending on residence, you may have a right to know or access personal information, ask that it be deleted or corrected, obtain a portable copy, request an eligible transfer to another party, or opt out of a sale, sharing, or processing for targeted advertising. These rights are not absolute, may apply only in defined circumstances, and can be declined where law permits. An applicable Global Privacy Control signal is treated as an opt-out for the sending browser and device and, when it can be associated, the relevant Shopify account. Learn more at https://globalprivacycontrol.org/. Other Do Not Track signals are not recognized. Promotional email can be stopped through its unsubscribe control, although non-promotional account and order messages may still be sent.
Submitting a request
Exercise an available right through the indicated Service control or the contact details below. Shopify's own processing and associated rights are explained at https://privacy.shopify.com/en. We do not discriminate because a person exercises a privacy right. Before acting, we may verify identity as allowed or required by law. An authorized agent must provide proof of authority, and we may ask the individual to verify directly. Responses are made within the period required by applicable law.
Complaints
Please use the contact information below if you object to our handling of personal information. Depending on residence, you may also appeal our response or lodge a complaint with the local data-protection authority.
International transfers
Personal information may be transferred, stored, or processed outside the country where you live. A transfer from the European Economic Area or United Kingdom relies on an accepted mechanism, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent agreement issued by the competent United Kingdom authority, unless the destination has been found to provide adequate protection.
Changes to this policy
We may revise this notice to reflect legal, regulatory, operational, or practice changes. A revision will be posted here, the “Last updated” date will change, and any notice required by law will be provided.
